The Golden Crown Literary Society, a 501c3 organization that educates about and promotes the visibility of sapphic and women-loving-women literature, needs a financial review in order to be competitive for grant proposals. We were fortunate to secure a Taproot volunteer, and she has asked that another Taproot volunteer join with her to work on this project.

We are and have always been an all-volunteer organization. But we would like to raise funds to bring on an executive director in order to move forward executing our strategic plan. We hope to seek and obtain grant funding for this.

A completed financial review will enable GCLS to apply for grants that have guidelines that require submission of an audit or financial review.

The mission of the Golden Crown Literary Society is to increase the visibility and quality of sapphic and women-loving-women literature. The Golden Crown Literary Society goals are to: Recognize and reward quality sapphic and women-loving-women literature; Provide learning opportunities, encouragement, and assistance to new and established writers developing their craft; Provide opportunities to promote sapphic and women-loving-women literature, including events that bring readers and writers together; Be inclusive of friends/supporters of sapphic and women-loving-women literature. The GCLS is the leading literary organization for editors, publishers, narrators, readers, writers, and friends/supporters/allies who celebrate sapphic and women-loving-women literature.
