Mobile App Development
Our goal for this project is to help bring the service dog industry into the 21st century.
We are seeking a skilled volunteer who’s excited to collaborate with us on creating something truly innovative. While we’re keeping the specifics of our app under wraps (it’s proprietary and we're hoping to be first to market!), we’re looking for someone who is ready to help us turn this vision into reality, someone ready to roll up their sleeves to make a meaningful impact for people with disabilities!
Through working with our organization on this project, the volunteer will support our mission by transforming the experience of service dog ownership, making it simpler, more streamlined, and more empowering for service dog owners.
Service dog ownership comes with many challenges, particularly when owners are out in public. There’s a wealth of information they need to carry with them—whether it's documentation, understanding their legal rights, or simply knowing what to do in various situations. By helping us create this app, the volunteer will play a key role in making sure service dog owners have all the essential information they need right at their fingertips.
This project will contribute to making service dog ownership easier and more accessible, ensuring that owners can advocate for themselves and their service dogs with confidence. Volunteers will directly impact the lives of service dog owners by providing them with a tool that simplifies and streamlines the often complex responsibilities of owning a service dog. The app will empower owners, giving them greater freedom, security, and peace of mind.
My team and I have prepared for this project by ensuring we have full internal buy-in and are ready to collaborate efficiently. We’ve completed several Taproot Plus projects with great success, which has helped us fine-tune our processes and solidify our approach to working with pro bono volunteers.
With over 15 years of experience in the service dog industry, as well as being a service dog family ourselves, we deeply understand the needs of service dog owners and the challenges they face. Prior to starting our service dog organization, we worked extensively in branding, graphic design, marketing, and sales, so we bring a wealth of expertise in these areas to this project.
We’ve created a creative brief for the project, ensuring that our goals, vision, and expectations are clearly outlined. We’re fully prepared to collaborate on visuals, creating visual assets, branding, and marketing materials to ensure this project not only meets its objectives but also resonates with its audience.
We’re excited to work with an experienced app developer, as this is an avenue we have never explored before, and we’re eager to learn and collaborate in whatever way is most helpful for the pro bono volunteer.
