Creshendo is seeking a leadership mentor or program management coach to work 1:1 with the Director of our Storytelling Project. This project amplifies the voices of refugees and migrants through live performances, workshops, and digital storytelling.

Our Director is a passionate and capable leader who would benefit from guidance on:
• Leading and motivating volunteer teams
• Designing activities to build team cohesion and engagement
• Strengthening volunteer retention through better communication, recognition, and community-building
• Managing her workload and priorities across multiple partnerships and creative processes
• Growing confidence in her leadership role and decision-making

We envision 3–5 mentorship sessions over 6–8 weeks, with the possibility of brief follow-up questions between sessions. This support will help build lasting leadership capacity and improve team culture within the Storytelling Project.

The Storytelling Project is at the heart of Creshendo’s mission to foster belonging, creativity, and dignity for refugees and migrants. By strengthening how we lead and support our volunteer team, we can create a healthier, more sustainable program culture.

Empowered leadership and better volunteer retention will allow us to expand the reach of our storytelling workshops and performances—giving more displaced individuals a platform to share their stories and inspiring broader conversations about inclusion and community.

Our Director of the Storytelling Project is deeply committed to her work and is already leading a dynamic, multicultural volunteer team. She is eager to learn and grow as a leader and has identified volunteer retention and team engagement as top priorities.

Creshendo leadership is fully supportive of this mentorship and will provide the time, space, and encouragement for the Director to implement what she learns. We’ll also create opportunities for her to practice new strategies during team meetings and project activities.

With this mentorship, we aim to cultivate a more connected, motivated team environment that sustains our mission long term.
