We are seeking a volunteer to use a pre-installed plugin on our Wordpress website along with automatic translation software such as DeepL to create alternate Spanish-language versions of our website pages that can be accessed with a language switcher button on the pages (created automatically by the plugin).

A volunteer with the ability to review the auto-translated Spanish material for accuracy and grammar would be ideal, but not required.

This project will help us improve the language accessibility of our content. Spanish-speaking families are often left out of access to information and resources, and while we have a number of Spanish-translated flyers, we are still lacking in Spanish-language website accessibility.

This project will allow us to serve the thousands of Families in the Greater New Orleans area who speak Spanish as their primary or only language with information, resources, and events!

The plugin has already been installed and tested for compatibility by building out one webpage for one of our events. Our Executive Director is highly familiar with the website backend and can assist with any questions or difficulty a volunteer encounters.

Only website pages actively in the Menu are included in this ask, not depreciated content or blog posts to make the most of volunteer time. Translated graphics for the pages will be provided when applicable.
