My goal for this Taproot project is to finish creating a system to help with our data tracking. We are in the final stages of merging our old data and entering new data in our meal tracking system. The person who was assisting us had to step away for a full-time job and is no longer able to assist. We are looking for someone for 4-6 weeks to help finish this process and set us up for future success.
We reallocate meals to those in need across LA. This system will allow for us to properly track the meals, grocery items, and more that we save daily. This will help us save more food, secure grant funding, and make sure we are following all food reallocation guidelines.
My team and I have been working on this project since January. We have an app developer who is creating a system for us that we are continuing to tweak so it better serves our org. All of the data from 2024 has been entered into the app and we are almost done editing what has been entered for 2025. We are looking for someone to take over the final stages of this and help launch the system with our entire team to use. We have created a google form for our team to use that allows for easier data entry as well and are very close to being finished with this big internal digital update. Our hope and goal is for everything to be up to date and fully functional by mid September.

Organization Mission

Every Day Action nonprofit takes perceived waste and redistributes it to those in need. Our mission is to inspire others to take care of their local community and to ask themselves daily: What can I do to help someone today? How can I be the reason someone feels seen, heard, valued, loved and supported? Working in conjunction with film sets, restaurants, and more, we take food, belongings, etc., that one might perceive as waste and deliver it into the hands of the underprivileged and unhoused communities. Our hope is to bridge the gap between the upper middle class and the millions of Americans in need, while inspiring our friends and neighbors to do the same and better. We firmly believe that having less doesn’t make you less and having more doesn’t make you more; we are all equal and should take care of our world and each other.
