We would like to create a brochure that could exist as a printed or digital aid to explain our programs and aid in our fundraising activities
W.I.N.D.O.W. (Women In Need of Discovering Own Worth) has been built with heart and determination by Val and Abdul Goodloe, working to heal the trauma of gun violence on Chicago’s South Side with very limited resources. Our mission is to empower women, girls, men, and boys to break cycles of violence through healing programs, multimedia storytelling, and community partnerships.

This brochure will be a game-changer for us. With your design skills, we’ll have a professional tool that clearly communicates our impact to funders, partners, and families. It will allow us to:

Secure new funding to sustain and grow our programs.

Reach more families in need of healing and support.

Build credibility with community and institutional partners.

Your talent will directly help us tell our story and open doors to resources we’ve never had access to before. By volunteering, you’ll be creating more than a brochure—you’ll be helping us bring hope, healing, and resilience to communities deeply affected by trauma and violence.
I have worked on a similar project with a Taproot volunteer and had great success with the piece we created. We have a document that gives an overview of our work and a wealth of supporting photographs.
