The Home of Record Project (HRP) is seeking a skilled volunteer executive coach to support our Director of Finance as our organization navigates an exciting period of growth.

HRP is a small but fast-growing nonprofit dedicated to addressing veteran homelessness. In 2024, our revenue totaled approximately $22,000. As of mid-2025, we’ve reached over $125,000 and are currently under contract to purchase a 16-unit property valued at $1.28 million. With this growth comes increasing operational complexity, financial responsibility, and leadership demands.

We are looking for an experienced coach to help guide our Director of Finance through this next chapter—ensuring that our financial infrastructure is robust, compliant, and scalable.

Coaching Goals:
We’re looking for support in the following areas:
- Industry Best practices
- Change Management: Adapting workflows and systems to match the pace of organizational growth.
- Organizational Culture: Fostering a culture of ownership, clarity, and collaboration in a rapidly evolving environment.
- Leadership Development: Growing into an executive leadership role with confidence and alignment to mission.
- Vision Coaching: Strategically translating long-term goals into actionable financial and operational steps.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicating financial concepts and risks to non-financial stakeholders.
- Decision-Making Under Uncertainty: Developing frameworks for evaluating risk and reward in a nonprofit context.
This is a volunteer position with flexible time commitments. The Director of Finance is highly motivated and eager to learn, with a strong operational foundation and a passion for driving impact. Your insights and mentorship would directly support the effectiveness, confidence, and capacity of one of our key organizational leaders.

If you’re passionate about empowering nonprofit leaders and helping build strong financial foundations for social impact, we’d love to hear from you.
Our organization is primed and ready to make this important investment. We are hoping that our volunteer can meet with our Director of Finance 1-2 times per week for 60-90 minute coaching sessions.
