Board Recruitment Strategy Development

We’re looking for an experienced consultant to help us develop a practical strategy to recruit engaged, mission-driven board members. The project will include assessing our current board, defining the skills and experience we need, creating outreach tools, and mapping out where and how to find the right people.

Help us recruit mission-driven leaders to our nonprofit! We are seeking a volunteer to help us craft a comprehensive recruitment plan. If you’ve helped nonprofits strengthen their boards and know how to attract leaders who care, we’d love your guidance to grow our team and deepen our impact.

Project tasks will include:
-Meeting with our organization's leadership to establish which roles are vacant
-Conducting interviews with board or staff members involved in recruitment or prospecting to establish which tactics have and have not been successful in the past
-Development of the first draft of an inclusive recruitment strategy that includes clear tactics for reaching candidates representative of the community that we're serving and who meet our current needs
-Finalizing the recruitment strategy by incorporating feedback from relevant team members

This project will give SelfSoulLiberate, Inc. the leadership support it needs to grow with purpose. By developing a clear board member recruitment strategy, we can identify the skills, experience, and networks that will strengthen our governance, expand our reach, and open doors to new partnerships and funding opportunities.

We will designate a team member to lead the project and work with the volunteer. We will also prepare members of our Board of Directors so they are aware of the project. We'll provide you with relevant information about our stakeholders and a background briefing on our programs, mission, vision, and purpose. You will have access to relevant materials and our current recruitment pipelines.
