We are seeking a skilled social media strategist who can help guide and support our team as we launch the digital storytelling phase of Creshendo’s Storytelling Project.

This project is rooted in direct interviews with migrants and displaced individuals from around the world. Our goal is to amplify their stories through creative, ethical, community-centered content — and share these narratives with the world in a way that’s strategic, impactful, and sustainable.

We need a volunteer who can:
• Create a cohesive content calendar across channels
• Provide creative direction for social posts (text, image, video)
• Coach our volunteer team on best practices
• Help us build a consistent brand voice across storytelling and advocacy themes
• Provide actionable feedback on drafts and design ideas

We are not looking for someone to do it all alone. We are looking for a leader — someone with both vision and practical experience — to guide our communications team and shape a social strategy that honors the depth of the stories we’re sharing.
Creshendo is a nonprofit working to shift power back to migrant and displaced communities through storytelling, education, and entrepreneurship. The Storytelling Project was created in response to a direct call from the communities we serve: “We want our voices heard.”

Your work will help ensure those voices reach far beyond our internal circles. You’ll be helping us challenge stereotypes, raise awareness, and move people to act — not with pity, but with purpose.

With your help, this project will not only elevate refugee voices — it will reshape the conversation around migration.
We have an active volunteer team already producing content. Interviews are transcribed and visuals are in development. Our Marketing & Communications team meets regularly and already works in shared systems (Google Drive, Canva, Asana).

You’ll be joining a creative team that is ready to move — we just need someone to steer the ship and bring the strategy.

You’ll receive full context, clear onboarding, and the support of a team that respects your expertise.
