We’re looking for a thoughtful, experienced facilitator to create and lead a short, virtual storytelling workshop for a small group of Creshendo volunteers. These are team members preparing to interview migrants and refugees for our storytelling project and upcoming podcast.

The goal of this workshop is to help our team:
• Learn how to ask strong, open-ended questions
• How to stay present and emotionally attuned during interviews
• Understand how to create a safe, respectful space for story-sharing
• Learn trauma-informed best practices
• Apply a social-emotional learning lens to their approach

Most of our interviewers are passionate volunteers, not professional journalists. We want them to feel confident and grounded when sitting down with someone to capture their story.
Creshendo is a global nonprofit co-creating education, economic, and storytelling programs with migrants and displaced communities. Our storytelling project was built in direct response to community feedback. Refugees told us clearly, “We want our voices heard.”

Your workshop will help us honor that request with integrity. You’ll be training the people who will carry these stories forward. Your guidance will help ensure that these interviews are rooted in dignity, empathy, and emotional safety — for both the storyteller and the listener.
You’ll be supported by our Storytelling Team, who will handle the logistics, send invites, and prep the group in advance. We’ll share background on the podcast, who the audience is, and what our goals are.

We can provide light structure if needed, or you’re welcome to bring your own style and methods. We’re not looking for perfection. We’re looking for care, clarity, and depth.
