Our organization is looking to maximize the way we collect and analyze impact data to better demonstrate our value to stakeholders and position ourselves to secure capacity-building revenue!

We're in search of a volunteer to help us optimize our impact data infrastructure by recommending improvements to our current data collection processes across our organization and developing a data tool to visualize key data insights.

This project will include the following potential tasks:

-Conduct an audit of our current data collection processes and the type of data points currently collected
-Recommend enhancements to our data collection processes to ensure we're capturing the most relevant data to demonstrate our program impact
-Develop a data visualization tool that allows our organization to track our key performance indicators (KPIs), identify program trends, and pull key impact insights

By optimizing our infrastructure for collecting and analyzing impact data, we'll be better equipped to further improve our ability to demonstrate our value to potential funders and secure empowering financial resources.
The Dinner Table helps girls of color build confidence, community, and leadership skills through media literacy and mentorship programs. As our programs grow, so does the need to clearly capture and communicate the impact we’re having in schools and communities across the country.

This project will help us strengthen the way we collect, organize, and share our impact data — transforming attendance lists, student surveys, and workshop notes into meaningful insights that show how our programs truly change lives. By helping us build a clearer system for tracking outcomes, you’ll directly support our ability to tell more powerful stories, sustain funding, and reach more girls who need spaces like The Dinner Table.

Your work will ensure that every data point connects back to our mission: helping young women see themselves as leaders and equipping them with the tools to shape their own narratives.
To support the execution of this project, the volunteer will have access to staff members who work closely with our data collection and reporting processes. We will provide details about our program, mission, and vision, as well as materials currently used for data collection (e.g. surveys intake forms, budgetary information about program expenses, etc.) Additionally, we'll share how we're currently using data to communicate with key stakeholders and support our fundraising efforts.

Organization Mission

The Dinner Table creates safe spaces for black and brown girls to share their truth; and provides resources so they can live at their fullest potential. We partner with schools and community organizations to provide young women of color (especially black girls) ages 10-18 with self-esteem building and identity-based college and career readiness programming and resources.
