Session Overview
We are a small, 4-person non-profit team with a disengaged board of directors. Since 2017, our biorepository operations have brought in the bulk of our net revenue. Essentially, we are trying to sell rare samples and data to public and private researchers to enable pregnancy research. At this time, we rely on biorepository sales to keep the lights on. Our research officers have been unsuccessful at bringing in other grant funding for several years. Thus, we need your help to understand what kind of help to ask for in order to scale-up our biorepository marketing and sales. Additional advice would be appreciated relating to fundraising, development, how to engage volunteers (if at all), and how to engage our disengaged board members. The board has promised to host a large fundraising event for the last 5 years and has kept procrastinating -- partially due to the pandemic, but mostly because they are unmotivated. Thank you!
Nonprofit Overview
GAPPS seeks to improve birth outcomes worldwide by reducing the burden of premature birth and stillbirths. We are working to close the knowledge gap in understanding the causes of preterm birth and stillbirth and collaborating to implement evidence-based interventions to improve birth outcomes.
