I am seeking a conversation with professionals who have experience mobilizing a volunteer base in an urban region. The goal is to identify actionable steps that can be implemented in our outreach efforts in the Bronx for Learn To Be, a non-profit organization focused on providing free, 1-on-1 online tutoring to underserved youth.

I am in the process of executing a localized plan for canvassing the Bronx in the second half of this year. A critical component of this plan is the mobilization of volunteers, an area where I seek expert guidance. I've started by asking the politicians we are working with how they do it; however, their approach likely will not work for us.
