Session Overview
Hello! We have purchased a "BBPOS WisePOS E countertop reader" Point of Sale device for $274.43 from Stripe in order to accept in-person payments to our new small museum in Florida. We did not, however, realize that the device requires a "Stripe Terminal app" to work. We do not code, nor did we expect to pay a third party for monthly POS services, so we feel stuck now.
Would like a coder to please advise us: Has Stripe offered enough instruction for you (or another coder) to write the application for us? (see https://stripe.com/docs/terminal/quickstart) Should we cut our losses and go with something like the Square platform?
Examples of in-person transactions are: Donations to our nonprofit; Museum gift shop purchases; Tour admission.
Nonprofit Overview
To research, preserve, and share Reuben Hale’s artwork, teachings, and life story with the public.
We plan to do this by:
* working with art conservationists to preserve and catalog the artwork
* working with arts and humanities historians to prepare and share materials with scholars and the public
* developing and executing an arts and humanities education program to benefit the community
* traveling with art exhibits across the country and working with curators
* working with museum planners to preserve and prepare the artist’s historical home, art studio, and sculpture garden for visitors
Our vision is that more lives may be enriched after seeing Hale’s diverse art forms and unique celebration of women’s strength.
