Nonprofit Overview

Voices Beyond Assault (VBA) is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization founded in 2018, dedicated to providing the aid, education, innovative therapy, and alternative resources needed by those who have experienced sexual assault/abuse. VBA wants to empower our survivors and encourage them to begin their journey of healing. We believe that there is strength in survival, and we want to create a culture of awareness, education, and prevention, through promoting a zero-tolerance act for sexual violence. Sexual assault/abuse is a growing epidemic, which is why our year-round advocacy is so important. VBA plans to ensure that all survivors of sexual assault/abuse have access to a platform to rebuild their lives. VBA aims to provide the resources that are vital to those affected by sexual assault/abuse, through increased education and interpersonal efficient measures. Our central goals are to:
(1) Provide a Prevention Curriculum within a wide range of public institutions, such as: Schools (2nd level education), Universities (3rd level education), and Workplace(s), (2) Combat against the issue of sexual assault/abuse, (3) Improve accessibility to sexual assault/abuse resources, (4) Build an army of survivors that will encourage and inspire each other from across the globe, and (5) Reduce our society’s rates of sexual violence, while also ending the stigma behind it.
