Board Development & Organizational Messaging Strategy

After 12 years of providing services to the community, our Executive Director and Founder has carried most of the responsibilities for operations, board duties, and fundraising, leading to burnout. Our current board members are committed to the mission but struggle with fulfilling board duties, which limits our ability to sustain and grow.
We’re seeking guidance on next steps for strengthening our board and organizational messaging. Specifically, we’d like insight on how to approach board prospecting to attract members with the right connections and skill sets, and whether revising our messaging could help us reach the right audience to attract funders, board members, and skilled volunteers.
