I am starting a new media company, and I have received my first funding, a total of $400,000 through foundations and major donors. This will be sent through my fiscal sponsor. I'm in need of guidance on how I should handle this for tax purposes (such as dividing the payments or directly sending expenses to my non-profit fiscal sponsor).
