Our organization has secured a small budget to push our first multimedia campaign across Google Ads, and we need advice on how to optimize our usage. We have done almost no paid advertising in the past so this is a big first step for us that we're excited to take!

We’ll come to this conversation with the desired assets, outcomes, and Google channels we'll utilize in this campaign. We’d like a volunteer to share Google Ads best practices, tips, and insights to make our small budget go the farthest it can for this campaign launch.

Organization Mission

DVP's mission is to help survivors of intimate partner violence and their children live free of abuse. DVP recognizes the dignity and worth of all individuals – we consider intimate partner violence, regardless of gender, sexual identity, religion, immigration, or other status, to be a human rights violation. DVP is a team of 22 passionate lawyers and advocates who together provide vital wraparound support and services to help survivors across NYC through a comprehensive model of legal services, advocacy, empowerment groups, and community outreach efforts. All our work is trauma informed and based in client self-determination. Our clients reflect the range of diversity present in the broader New York City demographics, including but not limited to, individuals who are D(d)eaf or hard of hearing; blind or visually impaired; those with physical and/or mental health challenges; survivors who identify as: LGBTQ+, gender fluid, non-binary, and cis male. More than 65% of our clients are immigrants, of those 54 % are undocumented – and 53% of all our clients are non-native English speakers. The average client lives at or below the federal poverty guidelines. Although DVP serves clients regardless of gender identity, the majority, 85%, identify as female, and 74% live in households with two or more members. DVP serves survivors across NYC: 32% live in Queens; 19% in Brooklyn; 19% in the Bronx; 18% in Staten Island; and 8% live in Manhattan. The largest ethnic proportion of clients identifies as Hispanic/Latino – more than double the next largest group, Black/African Americans. These are followed by roughly equal proportions of South and East Asians and Caucasian Whites, and Middle Eastern, European, and North African Whites. Finally, in terms of age range, the largest proportion of clients is 36% age 35-44; followed by 30% age 25-34; 14% age 45-54; 11% age 24 and younger; and 8% age 55 and older.
