Board Recruitment Advice

We’d like to discuss strategies for recruiting and onboarding new board members with technological skills and prior governance experience. Our nonprofit, Our Father’s Family Keeper Ministries (OFFKM), has a small but committed leadership team managing several community programs with limited administrative capacity.

We’re seeking advice on how to identify and attract qualified candidates, design a clear recruitment and vetting process, and create balanced, skill-diverse leadership. Guidance on using LinkedIn, Taproot, and local networks for outreach—as well as practical tools like sample role descriptions or onboarding templates—would be greatly appreciated. The volunteer’s input will help us strengthen our leadership foundation and build long-term sustainability.
