Grant Writing Support for Nonprofit Dedicated to Improving the World Through Altruism
Our 501c3 has been operational for 7 years, and while we have grown into NYC's most impactful volunteer-run resource rescue organization, we are at a financial bottleneck preventing us from growing further and helping more people.
We seek an experienced grant writer/development professional to attract funding this year (grants, sponsorships, and donations) to help us grow. We need someone with experience with grant writing who can guide us to identify grants for which we'd be eligible; create and submit applications; and help us develop a financial plan to understand how best to use the funding we receive.
We have been doing AMAZING work staffed entirely by volunteers. I can't believe we haven't focused on grants much before now, because we are a near-perfect recipient. We do a great job serving populations in need, we do a great job diverting useful items from the waste stream, and we do a great job squeezing the most out of the least.
We believe the HoGD is a compelling organization that foundations and government agencies will WANT to financially support. We only need to give them the opportunity to do so.
We have a team of volunteers in place including one dedicated to assisting and learning from whomever our grant writing Taproot person will be - and we also have a core team of committed volunteers willing and able to provide backup as needed.
