We want to develop a marketing campaign strategy for brand awareness-building moments occurring in the second half of the year. Ideally, this marketing campaign plan will be developed by the end of June. We'd like the final deliverable to include messages and templates for our target audiences and for high-visibility months like National Mentoring Month and Back to School.

Greenville Mentoring Collaborative (GMC) is a mentoring network developed to ensure every youth has access to quality mentoring relationships. GMC grew out of a shared desire that Greenville County's schools and juvenile justice system have to support youth through mentoring. In Greenville, youth suicide attempts and reported depression and anxiety are increasing. The number of truant youth has almost doubled since 2017 and DJJ referrals have increased 12% from pre-covid numbers. Multiple research studies document the social and emotional benefits that students receive through mentoring programs, especially those students at high risk. Developing a strong mentor recruitment strategy through public relations and marketing will help to provide more youth with the supportive mentoring relationships that lead to resilient, healthier students.

GMC recently completed a strategic plan with goals for the next 2-5 years. We have a portal with photos, video, a target market brief, and a Mentoring Month media toolkit with templates. An Executive Director and volunteer committee members are available to work with the volunteer to execute the marketing and public relations plan once it is developed.
