We are seeking a skilled volunteer to assist in updating our nonprofit's business plan and developing a comprehensive 2025 budget. This project aims to align our strategic planning with our actual programs, partnerships, and financial data, providing a solid foundation for future growth and funding opportunities.

Project Components:
- Business Plan Update: Revise our existing plan to accurately reflect current and upcoming initiatives, such as:
- Teen/Young Adult Group (launching June 2025)
- Sib Shops (support for siblings of children with different abilities)
- Ask the Allies: Voices of Support Podcast
- Trusted Caregivers Network (connecting families with screened sitters experienced in caring for children with different abilities)
- Sensory Toolkits Initiative
- Allied Professional & Parent Advisory Committess

The updated plan should highlight our mission, vision, unique features (e.g., free services, parent-led initiatives, inclusive approach), target market, partnerships, competitive analysis, and 2025 goals, including strengthening organizational structure and expanding community presence.

Budget Development: Analyze our first-year financials to create a detailed 2025 budget. This should include clear allocations across program areas based on actual operations and projected growth, along with a breakdown of revenue streams (donations, sponsorships, grants) and expenses.

Grant Writing Foundation: Identify key areas in the business plan that support future grant applications and suggest strategies for presenting our programs and impact to potential funders.

Deliverables:
Updated business plan (Word or PDF format)
Detailed 2025 budget with clear allocations (Excel or PDF format)

Embrace Abilities is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and empowering families of children with different abilities. By updating our business plan and budget, we aim to:

Enhance Program Delivery: Ensure that our initiatives are strategically aligned and financially sustainable, allowing us to serve more families effectively.

Strengthen Funding Opportunities: Present a compelling and transparent case to potential funders, increasing our chances of securing grants and donations.

Build Organizational Capacity: Establish a clear roadmap for growth, enabling us to expand our reach and deepen our impact within the community.

Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission by providing the tools and strategies needed to support and empower families navigating the challenges of raising children with different abilities.

To ensure the project's success, we have:

Internal Alignment: Secured commitment from our leadership and board members to support and implement the updated business plan and budget.

Prepared Materials: Gathered all necessary documents, including our current business plan, first-year financial data, and detailed information on our programs and initiatives.

Clear Communication: Established a dedicated point of contact to facilitate timely communication and decision-making throughout the project.

Implementation Plan: Developed a roadmap to integrate the updated business plan and budget into our organizational operations, ensuring that the volunteer's contributions have a lasting impact.
